Beverly Regional Airport

Beverly Regional Airport is a city-owned, public-use reliever airport, which means it is available to relieve Logan International Airport of small general aviation type aircraft when Logan hits its peak traffic times.

Airport history

Beverly Municipal Airport was built in 1928 by Beverly Aero Club and the Beverly Chamber of Commerce, and soon after, the City of Beverly assumed ownership. The U.S. Navy operated the airport under a joint-use agreement during World War II. In 1950, the airport was returned to the City of Beverly. On November 2, 2015, the Beverly Municipal Airport changed the name of the facility to the Beverly Regional Airport.

Airport location

Located in Beverly, Danvers, and Wenham, Massachusetts, in Essex County, KBVY is only three nautical miles northwest of Beverly's central business district.
