Turin Airport
Turin Airport, also known as Turin-Caselle Airport or TRN to the IATA and LIMF to the ICAO, is an international airport serving the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont Region, Northern Italy. In 2020, there were 1.4 million passengers served and 21,408 aircraft operations (drastically reduced numbers due to the COVID-19 pandemic). There is one runway: 18/36, which is 10,827 by 197 feet (asphalt).
Airport history
TRN originated during WWII as an air base. The civilian airport opened in 1953. In 1989 the airport underwent a major renovation in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup in 1990 and another major renovation in 2005 in anticipation of the 2006 Winter Olympics.

The airport is located at Caselle Torinese, 9.9 miles north northwest of the city of Turin.

- TRN won the ACI Europe Best Airport Awards in the category of 1 to 5 million passengers in 2007, 2008, and 2022.
- TRN is also named Sandro Pertini Airport, after the former Italian President of the same name.
- The airport is home to two Leonardo plants, which specialize in the assembly and final phase of production, maintenance, ground tests, and flight tests of military and civil prototypes and aircraft.
