Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport, or PVR (ICAO: MPR) is an international airport in Jalisco, Mexico. WestJet has the most international destinations of all airlines serving the airport, with 11. There is one terminal building with two halls: A for domestic flights and B for international flights. In 2021, the airport served 4.1 million passengers. There is one runway, 04/22, which is 10,171 feet (asphalt).
Airport history
The airport was built in 1966 after being commissioned by the President of the Republic at the cost of 45 million pesos. The airport was inaugurated on August 20th, 1970. Accordingly, it was named after the President, Gustavo Díaz Ordaz. In 1998 it underwent a privatization process and came under the administration of the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, GAP (along with 11 other terminals in Mexico). The city's growth due to tourism has seen several airlines expand their presence at the airport in recent years. In addition, GAP announced a 4 billion pesos expansion plan in 2020, including a 35,000-square-meter non-energy terminal (expected to increase capacity by 60%), a new bus terminal, and improved parking lots.

The airport is located 7.5 kilometers from Puerto Vallarta and 10 miles from Nuevo Vallarta.
