Cabo San Lucas International Airport

Cabo San Lucas International Airport, or MMSL, is an international airfield in Baja, California, Sur, Mexico. The airport has an air taxi service. In 2021, 45,178 passengers were serviced. There is one runway: 11/29, which is 7,000 feet (asphalt).

Airport history

MMSL was built in 1986. Of late, the runway was lengthened to 7,000 feet, and new navigation aids were installed. Furthermore, new air traffic control equipment, a control tower, lighting, PAPI visual aids, and a new FBO with all the ground support equipment was recently installed.

The airport is located 4.5 miles northwest of Cabo San Lucas.

  • MMSL is the only private international airport in Mexico. As such, it is a point of entry, and all relevant authorities are permanently located at the airport: Immigration; Custom; Agriculture; Mexican FAA; ATC; and OSIV (SENEAM). 
  • The FBO is unnamed. Nonetheless, it offers the following: Fuel (Jet A, Av Gas, PRIST); Lektros; Lavatory Service; Potable Water; Banda Conveyor; and GPU. 
  • The catering service at MMSL is Coffee Air.
