Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport
WIHH Jakarta is an international airport for Jakarta, Indonesia. Its airfield is conjoined with the air force base of the Indonesian Air Force. The airport is used for commercial, military, presidential, and private use. It is also used for corporate aviation. Roughly 5.6 million passengers used the airport in 2016.
Airport history
Halim Perdanakusuma was one of Jakarta's main civilian airports prior to the opening of Soekarno–Hatta International Airport in Tangerang in 1985, as it served all international flights bound for Jakarta. After 1985, it served as the secondary airport for Jakarta until 2013, when it was decided that 60 slots would open to ease the burden on Soekarno-Hatta. Since 2014, the airport has served domestic scheduled flights, with a capacity of up to 2.2 million travelers annually.

The airport is located in east Jakarta, the airport serves people int he east and south of the island.

- The airpost is named after Air Vice-Marshal Halim Perdanakusuma, an Indonesian aviator.

- It was originally known as Tjililitan Airport, named after its borough.
- An express railway is being built to connect the airport with Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta's primary airport.
