Jeju

Jeju Island lies just to the south of mainland Korea. The island is known for its natural beauty, as well as for the fact that it was the primary travel destination for South Koreans until the 1980s when they were allowed to travel abroad. Those circumstances led the island to be developed as a tourist destination, with a wide range of resorts and attractions. The coastlines are stunning, with Hamdeok and Hyeopjae beaches both notable for their beauty. There are several unique parks as well, such as Hallim Park and Stone Park. Some unique natural formations include the Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff and the volcanic crater of Seongsan Ilchulbong, also known as Sunrise Peak.
