Tallinn

The capital of Estonia, Tallin, lies on the shores of the Baltic Sea. The city is known for its charm and for being very photogenic, particularly its Old Town. Known for being one of the best preserved Hanseatic town centers, it features cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and various historic churches (which display some of the foreign influences that have ruled the country over the years, namely Scandinavian and Russian). The Town Hall dates back to the early 1400s and is known for its Gothic architecture and artworks. Viru Gate is another highlight, with round towers topped with coned roofs. More modern attractions include Tallinn TV Tower, which features an observation deck and a harnessed walk outside the tower, the Kamu Art Museum of contemporary art, and the Telliskivi Creative City, which features indie shops and various other attractions.
